Stacks
Tutorial Rocks is renaming its upcoming Collections feature to Stacks. This update introduces a clearer, more intentional way to group tutorials into structured learning bundles while improving navigation, branding and long term scalability on the platform. Stacks reflect how learners build knowledge step by step and will power future features including staff curated bundles, user created stacks and AI assisted recommendations.

For Developers
Tutorial Rocks started in 2021 as a simple WordPress project called Tutorial Green on the free domain schooling.tk. No AI, no backend and barely any control. When Freenom collapsed and domains froze, I moved the project to tutorial.rocks in April 2022. Over the next three years the site evolved through multiple stages until the first fully custom version launched in December 2024. Everything after that became the TR platform you know today.

Tutorial Collections are coming to Tutorial Rocks (https://tutorial.rocks) in mid December. This new feature introduces curated bundles of tutorials that make online learning faster, easier to navigate and more personalised. Collections bridge the gap between single tutorials and full Learning Paths, improving discovery and helping users explore topics through themed, high quality sets.

For Developers
Google had over a thousand of our pages sitting in “Discovered – not indexed” limbo. The problem wasn’t our content — it was our URLs. Here’s how we rebuilt our structure, cleaned up our routes, and got everything indexed properly within a week.

We’ve cleaned up our tutorial URLs to make them clearer, faster, and easier to find. Old links still work, but now every tutorial has a readable address that helps both you and Google understand what it’s about. Small change, big impact.
